Human Resource Manager

Designs, develops and manages human resource related programs for Francesca’s Collections stores and the home office. Directs compensation and benefit administration, wage and labor law compliance, and participates in employee relations.

The human resources manager assists Store Operations with employee relations, performance management and development of store policies and practices. The human resources manager also assists in the processing of new hire and staff paperwork. Much of the job is hands on, with the human resource manager doing a fair amount of data entry for manual programs currently managed in-house.


Principal Job Duties:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to the corporate and field management teams, and Francesca’s Collections store employees.
  • Develop and facilitate human resources programs to meet the current and strategic business needs of Francesca’s Collections.
  • Train managers and field leadership on human resource related needs specific to Francesca’s Collections.
  • Understand and enforce all Federal and State labor laws. Ensure proper State, Federal and Francesca’s Collections notices are posted in all employee work areas.
  • Work collaboratively with the store management and field leadership teams on employee relations issues.
  • Direct, review and evaluate all steps in the progressive discipline process.
  • Develop and manage compensation and benefit programs for field and home office teams.
  • Assist with the interview and selection of executive and field leadership candidates, coordinating interviews, hiring and on-boarding.
  • Manage various projects as assigned by the Vice President, Stores.

Job Specifications:
  • Multi-task in a high-energy fast paced work environment.
  • Adhere to the code of business conduct customer service levels and other standards as defined in the employee handbook.
  • Ability to read, understand and execute human resources related reports, policies and initiatives.
  • Participate in human resource related training, as directed.
  • Maintain effective and productive cross-division working relationships.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and impartiality.

Job Qualifications:
  • Candidate MUST have retail experience in the areas of human resources and employee relations.
  • Superior verbal and written skills, with an emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Undergraduate college degree required (some college may be replaced with related work experience)
  • Minimum of 2-5 years retail HR generalist experience required
  • Professional Human Resources (PHR) Certification a plus
  • Moderate travel required
  • Intermediate computer skills required specifically Microsoft Office, and Powerpoint.
  • Working knowledge of ADP payroll systems a plus.

New Store Development Project Manager

The New Store Development PM will be responsible for coordinating and managing all logistics involved with the opening of new stores and existing store remodels. The PM will report to the VP of New Store Development and work closely with the Construction Manager, Merchandising Manager and the Fixture Manager. This is a Corporate Office position that requires some travel but a great deal of communication with field level positions. Please provide references and salary requirements.


Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and maintaining a Master Store Opening Schedule
  • Preparing and maintaining individual Store Opening Schedules
  • Preparing budgets for each remodel or store opening
  • Coordination of the installation of Fixtures with Construction Manager
  • Coordinating the merchandising of new stores with Merchandising Manager
  • Acting as a Liaison between Francesca’s and various landlord’s

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 Years experience in any Project Management
  • Past Retail Project Management helpful but not essential
  • Ability to read shopping center site plans and CAD drawings helpful
  • Microsoft Project Management knowledge and skill essential
  • Very proficient in MS Excel and MS Word
  • Excellent organization and prioritization skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skill

Store Opening Team Member

Members of the store opening team work as a cohesive team with store operations to oversee new store setup and train and communicate visual and merchandizing standards in new and existing stores. Extensive travel and some physical labor is required. This position is full-time and will be based out of the corporate office in Houston. Please provide references.


Principal Job Duties:
  • Merchandize and organize a new store that is 100% ready for profitability at turn over
  • Re-merchandize stores in cases of remodels, inventories or repairs
  • Visit stores and give assistance in regards to merchandizing standards when needed
  • Order new store supplies
  • Manage weekly schedules
  • Communicate visual and merchandizing standards with all stores
  • Work as a cohesive team with the store operation teams during store set up
  • Represent the corporate office with professionalism and maturity

Job Specifications:
  • Store set up: 2 team members per store opening (1 will take the lead position)
  • Team members are expected to: organize all boxes, open boxes, set out merchandise, take out trash, keep store as clean as possible, merchandize and organize all product to standard and, work well with store operations team.
  • Understand the complexities of managing a store to help facilitate standards and expectations in regards to merchandizing and organization: work together as a team with one goal and maintain open communication between all team members

Job Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Retail merchandising experience preferred
  • Service and sales related experience/exposure
  • A flare for fashion is a MUST!
